The Plovdiv District Court left 32-year-old Yordan Petkov in custody confirming the decision of the Plovdiv District Court, which imposed the most severe detention measure on him.
He was accused of a crime for the fact that, in collaboration with 22-year-old Ralitsa Kozarska, in the period from May 2022 to August 2022 in the city of Plovdiv, in order to obtain a real estate benefit, under the conditions of a continuous crime and, in complicity, incited and maintained the delirium between a man and a woman from the city of Hisarya, by entering computer data and thus causing damage to the two victims for a total amount of BGN 78,360.
For this offense, the penal code provides for imprisonment from 1 to 6 years and a fine of BGN 6,000.
The Plovdiv District Court shared the Court of First Instance’s conclusion that, from the evidence gathered, it can reasonably be suspected that Yordan Petkov committed the crime for which he was accused. The court found that he was in real danger of fleeing and committing a crime to an extent other than imprisonment. The danger of committing a crime derives from the specificities and the mechanism of committing the procedural act. Ralitsa Kozarska is under house arrest.
