Dance arrives today at the Theater Conference

The Theater Days today offer the dance of Víctor Jiménez, from the Lamov Cía company, from Zaragoza, at 7:00 p.m., at the Coliseum. The play is a frenetic, passionate and even painful journey, in addition to representing “the passing of life and what we leave behind in our path.”

‘Tempus fugit’ is beauty, it is love, it is pain, it is laughter, it is ash … LaMov is a dance company that was born in Zaragoza in 2008 under the direction of Jiménez. During this time he has premiered classic shows such as ‘The Nutcracker’, ‘La Bella Durmiente’, ‘Cinderella’ or ‘El Trovador’, and more contemporary works by choreographers such as Itzik Galili, Sharon Fridman, Rodovalho or Francisco Lorenzo. With all these shows, LaMov has been present in Miami (USA), France, Italy, Great Britain or Germany.

In Spain he has performed in such emblematic theaters as the Campoamor Theater in Oviedo, the Fernán Gómez Theater in Madrid, the Jovellanos Theater in Gijón, the Main Theater in Mahón, the Cervantes Theater in Malaga, or the Auditoriums of Vigo and Murcia. At the Terrassa Cultural Center he performed in 2015 with a renewed contemporary version of the story of ‘Cinderella’. Since 2017 this company has the support of the Government of Aragon and is now called LaMov-Compañía Aragonesa de Danza.

A ‘Tempus fugit’, the passage of time and its transience serve as the basis for this new work that joins the fifteen shows that it has premiered throughout its career. ‘Tempus fugit’ shows explosive, dynamic movements, at extreme and infinite times. Víctor Jiménez is a former dancer in the Víctor Ullate company, a direct pupil of Maurice Béjart and a solo dancer at the Lyon Opera. Since July 2008 Jiménez has been the artistic director of LaMov and has choreographed ‘El Trouvador’, ‘What the body does not remember’, ‘Divine clowns’,’ Forget-Forgot-forgotten ‘,’ Futile ‘,’ Momenta ‘,’ Cinderella ‘,’ The Nutcracker ‘,’ Earthly ‘,’ Tempus fugit ‘and’ The Lake ‘.
