UFC President Dana White apparently didn’t appreciate the prank Clay Guida gave him at UFC Kansas City. He makes it known after the event.
Clay Guida took on Rafa Garcia in the opener of the UFC Kansas City main card. The fight turned out to be much more competitive than expected. Although he showed a lot of resistance in the octagon, Guida ended up suffering a loss by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27 and 30-27). However, it was the post-fight events that didn’t sit well with the 53-year-old and one thing is for sure, Dana White is no joke. Find the results of the evening here.
Dana White warns Clay Guida
After his fight, Clay Guida took off his gloves in the octagon, which led Daniel Cormier to approach him thinking that the veteran was giving up the fight. But that wasn’t the case, and Guida revealed that he took his gloves off just to swap them with Rafa Garcia.

During the post-fight press conference, Dana White did not like Clay Guida’s attitude at all. While suggesting it pissed him off, White didn’t mince words at all in expressing how he felt.
“It actually pissed me off, to be honest with you. No, that really pissed me off. I like [Clay Guida], he’s a nice guy, but you’re faking your retirement so you can say happy birthday to someone? Not in the UFC no. See, we’re having a live event here, I wasn’t happy about that and it won’t happen again.”
According to the UFC president, this will be the one and only time this gesture will occur in the UFC octagon, fighters are warned.
