In response to the growth of digital transactions in Indonesia, the DANA digital wallet application, officially launched a total update on the interface and features through DANA v.2.0. Introduced for the first time at a virtual seminar entitled “DANA Tech Talk” together with DailySocial.id on 27 August, DANA v.2.0 has a mission to bridge the needs of users in an increasingly dynamic and complex digital era.
In a themed webinar ‘Gold Recipe in Building Experiences to Tens of Million Users’ In this regard, efforts to enrich the user experience have become one of the key aspects of updating the appearance and services of DANA v.2.0.
Norman Sasono, as CTO of DANA said, “The philosophy at DANA itself is to start with UX. The first thing to think about is to present great benefits to users. It’s all about where we take our customers to a better situation by using technology. Finally, from there, we can emerge bringing new products and features as well as existing products, but become 10 times better, “said Norman.
In line with this, Borrys Hasian who is known as a renowned practitioner in the field of UI/UX also agrees with the statement of the importance of optimizing the interface and user experience in developing a product.
“Every financial service provider must always be adaptive in responding to the ever-changing needs of users. Never stop learning to listen and understand customers and then improve for the better. And the most important thing is that the application created can provide greater value and impact, so that when building a product it not only benefits the business, but also makes the product liked and even loved by customers,” he explained.
This digital wallet application which was founded in 2018 presents a number of interface updates on several components such as; DANA Home, ‘Just For You’ for various promos, DANA Protection, DANA Statements that can be realized with widgets on iOS, the Daily Limit feature, to the Smart Pay feature in the form of recommendations for other payment methods if the DANA balance is insufficient.
In his release, Vince Iswara – CEO & Co-Founder of DANA revealed that the DANA update also focuses on building a foundation that accommodates the needs of a broad range of users.
“The foundations needed to build this trust include ease and convenience of use and access, reliability of technology, as well as security and protection guarantees. The DANA v.2.0 that we have developed is a form of our seriousness in responding to these challenges. We will continue to do technological innovations, including UI and UX, consistently and will always be the focus in developing the DANA digital wallet for the best transaction experience for users,” said Vince.
The DANA renewal this time should be seen as crucial in an effort to serve the needs of digital transactions in Indonesia, which continues to grow rapidly, and to create increasingly inclusive digital finance through technology. The Statista report in February 2021 said the growth of active users digital wallet services are increasing in the midst of a shift in market consumption to the realm of eCommerce triggered by the pandemic. Specifically, in the second semester of 2020 the percentage growth can reach 14% compared to the previous semester. This positive trend is expected to continue to be well maintained in the future, and this is certainly an interesting thing for DANA in taking part in the arena of digital wallet service competition in the country.
