Dana Dombrovskis, the wife and son of the stylist and former musician Andris Kivičs, in Marta Martinsone’s material “Want to change the name due to the injuries of the past”, tells about an event in her life when the help of others was very much needed.
Dana is known to be 99.89 percent deaf and has artificial hearing.
There were a lot of challenges in Dana’s life and last year there was a situation when I had to spend the night in the car during the winter, because she was from the place where she had stayed.
Unfortunately, the hearing aid had run out of batteries, but she could not get to the store because she had not been vaccinated against Covid-19. I had to think of a way to get to the batteries, because I was completely deaf.
She wrote the text on a piece of paper and stood at the front door of the supermarket. The note said she was deaf and was asking someone to buy a hearing aid battery. The money she is giving away.
Unbelievable, but several people passed Dana until someone reluctantly decided to help.
