It’s not often that I don’t know what to write. This is one of the rare occasions. The fact is that, out of a sense of duty and more, I cannot escape. It’s as if a Rome-Turin is no fire. Toro was certainly missing, never so compliant, at times even distracted: especially in the first half, Vanoli’s team played flannel and let Roma play alone, but as long as they didn’t shoot on goal.
Now that I think about it I could write this: on the pitch I saw someone who plays different football from the othersbut where is the news? Dybala he sees and does things that are not allowed to everyone. Yesterday he didn’t act as a false center forward to somehow make up for Dovbyk’s absence: he chased space (an Argentine astronaut: goodbye positional football), connected the units, chased the opponent less than in the past and also scored the decisive goal with a falling billiard shot and many thanks to Linetty for the assist.
I might add that Juric fixed the moment, not the rest: he is condemned to work on a temporary basis, trusting the reassurances of the owners. Dark suit, white shirt undone at the first button, waistcoat, he showed up at the Olimpico ceremonial dress. After all, such a particular and complex evening required it. The team respected him, giving everything they had, and this is the most important success.

I conclude. The things that explode inside me are the usual unanswered questions for now: When will the Friedkins get back to doing something soccer?drinkable? When will they demonstrate to people that – beyond the continuous outlays of money – the interest in Roma and its image has never been lacking and that they always mean a lot to them? How do they plan to move from here on out? Do they already consider the season compromised at the beginning of November and look beyond May? When will the new CEO arrive? And will he be Italian or taken with Esselunga points? Who gives Ghisolfi a hand in managing extraordinary problems?
