Damn, I’ve flown for 9 hours and even landed at the departure airport

An American Airlines flight from Texas to Seoul ended at the home airport after nine hours of flight. Situations on the plane went viral.

Reporting from UniladWednesday (25/9/2024) the incident occurred on an American Airlines flight that was flying from the city of Texas and was supposed to be heading to Incheon International Airport in Seoul, Korea a- South, on September 7. The plane had reached the correct route in five hours.

But, after that, the plane was not on the way it was supposed to be. Jimin Lee, one of the passengers on the flight, recorded the concerns of the passengers on the flight and shared it on Instagram.

“A new fear emerged: Your flight to Korea could last five hours and come back with no explanation,” Lee captioned the photo.

Lee went on to say that the flight attendant said there was a problem with the toilet. At the same time, the pilot asked if someone had “taken a screw” to fix the problem.

“American Airlines needs a lesson in effective communication,” Lee wrote in the video clip.

The passenger’s concerns started with checking the flight path on the screen in front of the passenger seat. In the video, a picture of the plane’s flight path can be seen on the screen in front of him. It can be seen how the plane had crossed the US, before it went to parts of the Pacific Ocean when it had to turn back.

Netizens also attacked the comment group on Lee’s post. They ask why they have to go so far just to make an emergency landing? Even though there are many airport options without wasting time flying.

Airline clarification

“On September 7, American Airlines flight 281 with service from Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) to Seoul (ICN) returned to DFW due to maintenance issues,” an airline spokesperson said.

“The flight landed safely and without incident at DFW, and the flight was temporarily grounded for inspection by our maintenance team. We did not want to disrupt our customers’ travel plans, and we apologize for any inconvenience,” the spokesperson said.

The airline also said that the flight took off again with a new flight the next day.
