The Spanish beverage manufacturer Damm has received both the “Performance Standard” and the “Chain of Custody (CoC) Standard” certification from the Aluminum Stewardship Initiative (ASI) for two of its breweries.
This enables Damm, as is evident from a report by the US metal packaging group Ball Corporation, Broomfield, Colorado, among other things, to fill its products in appropriate beverage cans and bring them to market. Since March, Damm has therefore only been purchasing ASI-certified beverage cans from Ball Corporation, whose plants in Europe, the Middle East and Africa have also been approved according to the standards since 2020.
