Banjar News, (harapanrakyat.com), – Anticipating the occurrence of fires in buildings and offices in Banjar, the firefighters simulated fire handling.

The head of the Banjar City UPTD Damkar, Aam Amijaya, said the simulation of how to extinguish the fire took place at the BPJS Health office.

In the simulation, his team practiced traditional fire fighting and fire extinguishers, building fire protection management and knowing the cause of the fire.

“Most of the time, the building catches fire because of an electric short circuit and the result of a stove. So in order to prevent this from happening, we anticipate by making sure it is in accordance with the standards,” he said, Wednesday (2/6/2021).

Not only that, he also mentioned that almost 80 percent of offices in Banjar have not met safety standards, especially those related to fires.

This can be seen from the availability of light fire extinguishers or APAR which the government has regulated in Permenakertrans number 4 of 1980 regarding the requirements for installing and maintaining APAR.

Therefore, his party also appealed to every building or office to meet the standard of protection with the availability of fire extinguisher facilities according to the rules. (Password/R6/HR-Online)
