Polish hockey player Damian Tyczynski ends up in the extra-league Spišská Nová Ves.
The club announced on Wednesday on the social network Facebook that it is ending cooperation with a 21-year-old striker, with whose performance he has not been satisfied lately. Damian Tyczynski will play in the premier league Dubnica.
He still worked as a teenager in the East Slovakian club, he returned to it in the 2019/2020 season, and the following year he had a large share in the Spišiak’s promotion to the Slovak hockey elite. In the basic part of SHL he gained 30 points (13 + 17) and in the playoffs 15 (6 + 9). His balance in this year’s extra league was 4 + 11 in 25 matches.
“Unfortunately, Damian has been falling in the line-up in recent matches and there was no long-term satisfaction with his game. Nevertheless, he was given the opportunity by the coaches to fight for his position in the team. He decided not to use it, which I personally regret, “ said Richard Rapáč, general manager of the club. Spišská Nová Ves ranks fifth in the table.
