Not long after the premiere of the current generation of Suzuki Jimny, which took place already in 2018, the first modifications began to appear, which gave the small Japanese off-road an interesting style. Most of the modders bet on simulating the off-road legend Mercedes-Benz G-Class, but other, often very original ideas were also found.
The Japanese tuning company DAMD will present one of them at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show, which has decided to modify the body of the small SUV in the style of the European legends of rally racing. The Renault 5 Turbo and Lancia Delta Integrale cars became the inspiration.

Let’s start with the red car, which refers to the iconic Lancia with a mask, four-point lights, a fast stripe across the hood and cabin, or a prominent spoiler. In addition, we see sports seats in the cabin.
The blue car resembles a Renault 5 Turbo with a specific radiator grille and angular headlights. A smiling detail on the side is the prominent “Turbo” inscription, but supplemented with a smaller “Non”. Apparently, this is a car with an atmospheric engine.

In both cases, the cars are built on the iconic white OZ Racing wheels, which emphasize the racing character. The blue car has an unpainted front bumper, while the red one has a painted one. In both cases, the bumper of similar shapes also received yellow fog lights, typical for cars of the eighties.
Unfortunately, the company did not show the interior and did not reveal the technical parameters either, but it can be assumed that at least everything under the hood remained the same. In Europe, the Suzuki Jimny is offered with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder, while in Japan the car is also available as a kei car with a small turbocharged three-cylinder.
