After 12:25 pm on Tuesday, the control of the detention of Hernán “Nano” Calderón Argandoña for him alleged frustrated patricide against his father, Hernán Calderón Salinas.
After that he went to the formalization hearing which is in charge of the Fourth Guarantee Court of the capital, with the East Prosecutor’s Office in charge of the investigation.
There, apart from parricide, the young man also faces charges for the Law of Arms (illegal possession), damages and threats.
In the judicial instance two scenarios could be configured. The first is related to the defense affirming that there is precedent to declare it unimpeachable.
If there are, the judge must analyze whether their freedom is a danger to society and to Calderón himself, thereby ordering a special precautionary measure within a public psychiatric hospital, where the accused will have police protection.
If the above is not achieved, the second panorama, where the Public Ministry can request preventive prison, the most burdensome precautionary measure.
According to information collected by Radio Bío Bío, the Prosecutor’s Office will actually request that.
In our legal system, the crime of parricide is one of the most serious, with a penalty that starts in 15 years and one day.
However, as it was frustrated, the crime drops one degree and the penalty that Calderón Jr. could face part in 10 years and one day.

Damage
At the hearing, the prosecutor Omar Mérida showed photographs of clothes and pictures with cuts that would have been carried out by calderón son. To the above, the persecutor added broken dining chairs and “cracked and irreversibly lost” suit pants.
“Here a level of evident damage against the father and this fact gives rise to the other, ”added the prosecutor, after which he showed photographs of the floor of the house with blood stains.
“Hernán Jr. does not go to the house only to visit his father, he goes with a knife and attacks him directly to the body. Forensic experience indicates that injuries to the forearms and hands when they are stabbed are defensive (…) what the father has tried is not to be stabbed ”, he added.
Life “fast and furious”
Mérida also read part of the statement by “Kel” Calderón on the facts, in which he gave a negative assessment of his brother.
“Hernán began as a teenager take an interest in life ‘fast and furious’, to have weapons, butterflies, mittens, ammunition. He joined a shooting club, he began to create a gangster personality, showing money, always getting out of trouble with the authority due to his father’s intervention, ”the prosecutor read.
Besides, according to the statement, Calderón daughter accused him of having a fixation with criminals like Pablo Escobar and Chapo Guzmán.
“His first weapon was when he was 12 years old”, the prosecutor read, after which he added that the lawyer remembers that, at school, her brother went out with mittens to the street and said that “he was dying to get hold of combos with another jerk” (sic).
Complaint against Calderón Sr.
On Monday, it became known that Rebeca Naranjo Hernández, Calderón Jr.’s partner, filed a complaint against Calderón Salinas for alleged sexual abuse reiterated against him.
The events would have occurred between September 2019 until mid 2020 and they would have materialized in friction and comments.
“That for me was quite uncomfortable, I felt it was inappropriate, telling my friend that I had doubts about his intentions “, indicates the text of the resource.
“The complaint is given by different acts of harassment and abuse that she suffered in the department of Hernán Calderón in the commune of Las Condes. We will send to the Prosecutor all the proofs and evidences that substantiate the veracity of the facts, ”said Catalina Tuane, the plaintiff’s lawyer.
The admissibility of this legal action will be reviewed during the session this Tuesday.
Complaint against Calderón Jr.
For his part, the lawyer Hernán Calderón Salinas filed a complaint against his son.
According to his account, the young man would have gone to his apartment to collect some belongings, but in the face of the refusal of the home adviser, he forced his entrance.
“Given the noise that was produced and knowing that it was my son, who had repeatedly assaulted me in the past… I went to the entrance hall and said: ‘Hernán is enough, Pati is here’, referring to my partner, so that he could try to keep his composure. ‘Better be. I wanted to talk to you, ‘he said, scolding my partner. ‘Look with the motherfucker he’s (sic) with …’ ”, the lawyer said in the document.
“At that moment and before I could answer him, the defendant pounced on me, with fist and foot bumps. Given the above, Doña Patricia stands between the two, saying, ‘Hernán, calm down, calm down.’ In these circumstances, Hernán, to get her out of the way, pushes her to the floor, hitting her head on a table, “he added.
“At that moment my son, wielding a knife that I had previously brought and stored in my pants, attacked me from the front trying to stab me in the stomach, failing only because of my reaction, striking the left forearm and shouting: ‘Now I’m going to kill you …’ “, he said.
Later, Calderón Sr. recalled that the young man stabbed him again in his hand, while yelled at him that “I was going to kill him”.
Given the situation, the home counselor alerted the concierge, who contacted Carabineros. In addition, two teachers who worked in another department came out to see what was happening.
Selfie
In the same text, Calderón Salinas indicated that, upon noticing the presence of witnesses, his son escaped and took the knife.
The review of the security camera records revealed that the law student took one selfie with his cell phone in the elevator mirrors, his clothes covered in blood.
“After having stabbed me, I expected to see a son at least afflicted by the seriousness of the events, nothing more distant from the image that appears,” lamented Calderón Salinas in his complaint.
The Investigation Unit of The Radio accessed the security videos from the place that corroborate that the young man entered the building where his father lives at 4:09 p.m. on August 11, wearing a black mask, a yellow shirt, jeans, sneakers and carrying a bag.
The pictures confirm that his clothes ended up stained with blood and that a photograph was taken inside the elevator.
After that, Calderón Argandoña was a fugitive from justice for six days, but on Monday afternoon he was admitted by decision of his family to the El Cedro psychiatric clinic, in the commune of La Reina.
