Turkish rescuers carry out an operation to rescue injured people from the ruins of a six-story building that was damaged in the earthquakes in southern Turkey on February 6 and has now completely collapsed.
The incident took place in the southeastern city of Şanlıurfa, reports DPA, referring to the Anatolian Agency.
Rescuers called for silence in the area of the collapsed building so that they could listen for noises under the ruins, reports Anadolu Agency.
Security camera footage shows the building on a busy street collapsing.
Earthquakes measuring 7.7 and 7.6 struck southeastern Turkey within hours of each other on February 6. The tremors also caused casualties and destruction in neighboring Syria.
The total death toll reached nearly 46,000 and the earthquakes left nearly two million people homeless in Turkey.
