Damage to Celina’s home after the derby reported to the police by AIK

AIK midfielder Bersant Celina scored one of the goals in the 2-0 win over Djurgården last weekend. He celebrated the performance with loved ones sitting right next to the Djurgården substitute bench, which led to strong reactions.

After the derby, a home it was written on was targeted for vandalism. But he doesn’t live there anymore.

– That’s where I lived before. Now a family with two small children lives there, says Celina and continues:

– They sprayed something and some flowers were also planted.

Norway confirms what happened after AIK’s 2-1 win against BP on Sunday. It is sad for what the affected family had to go through.

– As long as people don’t do anything bad or dangerous, I understand… but a family lives there. They were worried. So I had to take it up with the club and sort it out.

– I have been registered there, so it is my fault, because I have not changed my address.

How does it feel to be like that?

– I feel very sorry for that family. It shouldn’t happen. People should think first, and they should see if I really lived there. I have not lived there for two or three months.

But even if you had lived there, it’s not quite right, is it?

– No. But personally I’m not afraid of Djurgården fans.

Was the police informed?

– Yes, I think AIK reported to the police. They take it seriously.

AIK head of security Henrik Koch confirms that a police report has been filed regarding vandalism and harassment.

– Someone scrawled “Hate AIK” outside the house where he lived. Then someone left a bouquet of flowers and wrote a text with the words: “You are a fighter who never gives up,” says Koch and continues:

– It was very strangely written. It looked like a child had written.

Koch explains that it was an electrical cabinet next to the home that was blown down.

– It was reported to the police as harassment because the people who lived there felt unsafe because someone had been there. And then it is reported as vandalism for “Hate AIK”.

AIK is puzzled by what happened.

– Is this connected? The flowers were probably a sign that you support Celina and thank you for the goal against Djurgården, says Koch.
