Damage-prone accident on the parking lot in Offenbach

The cause of an accident that occurred on Monday afternoon (20th) in Kettelerstraße 98 in Offenbach in the parking lot of a hypermarket is still unclear.

A BMW driver is said to have endangered a 53-year-old pedestrian when pulling out of a parking space at around 4:20 p.m. the woman from Offenbach had to jump to the side in order not to be hit by the BMW 2 series. Then the 66-year-old is said to have driven across the parking lot into the shopping trolley shelter and then touched a Mercedes and a VW Golf.

The damage is estimated at 54,000 euros. An Alco test showed 0.34 per mille; the 66-year-old Offenbacher had to give a blood sample. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
