A heavy storage tank at the airport of the Libyan city of Tripoli has set fire to a kerosene storage tank. One or more aircraft have also been damaged.
The Libyan Ministry of Transport says the shelling is the work of rebel commander Haftar’s troops. He has been trying for a year to get hold of the Libyan capital.
He does this with the support of the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Russia. The government in Tripoli is supported by Qatar, Turkey and Italy.
