The Dallas Stars called up ten players from their reserve team, whose AHL season recently ended, to the first team on Thursday. He will also experience the atmosphere of the conference final in the NHL playoffs Marián Studenič.
In addition to the Slovak attacker, Dylan Wells, Riley Tufte, Ryan Shea, Alex Petrovic, Matt Murray, Rhett Gardner, Mavrik Bourque, Oskar Bäck and Matej Blümel were also called up from Texas.
Studenič’s AHL season ended on Sunday, when the Stars were eliminated from Calder Cup contention in the third round of the playoffs after a close five-game series with Milwaukee. He scored two goals and four assists in eight playoff games.
Twenty-four-year-old Záhorák played another 67 games in the regular season, in which he set personal bests with 21 goals and 48 points. He also got a chance in three NHL games, but he did not score in them and recorded only one negative point.
