Nobody would have expected that: Striker Ricardo Pepi, who was recently strongly associated with a move to VfL Wolfsburg, is about to make a permanent transfer to FC Augsburg, according to Fabrizio Romano. The 18-year-old should cost the equivalent of around 17.5 million euros.
This would make the current Dallas professional rise to the record transfer of the Fuggerstadters. So far, central defender Martin Hinteregger has held this status with a transfer fee of 10.5 million euros (previously FC Red Bull Salzburg).
Pepi and his advisor are said to be on their way to Germany, more precisely Munich. The plan is for him to complete all the necessary sports medical examinations on Sunday.
