Dallas County reports record number of coronavirus infections; 570 cases in a single day | Univision 23 Dallas Ft. Worth KUVN

DALLAS, Texas. – Dallas County health authorities confirm record numbers of cases of coronavirus.

Today Sunday are reported 570 new cases and one more death adding a total of 20,165 positive cases and 352 deaths.

The latest death involves an 80-year-old Irving resident who was in serious hospital condition and had high-risk health conditions.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, asked the governor Greg Abbott through his Twitter account, to make the use of face masks mandatory and requests that a new order be issued to stay home.

This happens just as the Governor is visiting the city of Dallas to meet with the Vice President. Mike Pence.

Texas is one of the states that reports the highest number of infections.

Still, Vice President Mike Pence visited the city of Dallas earlier today. After suspending the campaign events that were scheduled for next week in Florida and Arizona, as these states experience an increase in new cases of coronavirus.

The president is still expected to travel to those states, which have set records for new confirmed infections in recent days.
