DAKAR: The Côte-d’Orien Frédéric Barlerin did it!

The Côte-d’Orien biker climbed onto the podium with a very honorable ranking in a category “without assistance” after twelve days of rallying in the heart of the Saudi Arabian desert.

“I still ate a lot of dunes” announces Fred Barlerin after this final stage. However, it is traditional to say that the last stage is a piece of fun, even that it is the least complicated of the whole rally. But this 12th stage, much shorter than the others, had its share of difficulties.

Goal achieved

Frédéric has reached the end. He climbed on the final podium to pocket this 2nd Finisher medal. Lots of emotions, despite the absence of the public on arrival. The pressure eased after 12 days of racing. But no time to rest, we must quickly bring Titine to the port for his boat, sort it so that the trunk and the motorcycle are ready to take the boat before finding them in France. As for Fred Barlerin, he will join the Côte-d’Or and more precisely his family, his wife and his children, in the Bussy-le-Grand sector in the north of Côte-d’Or in the next few days.

Ranking

Out of 101 motorcycles parts, 63 arrived. The Côte d’Orien finished in 51st position, and 15th Original By Motul out of 20 riders in the category having finished. Frédéric Barlerin finishes the Dakar for the 2nd consecutive year after three participations in a category without assistance in the evening at the finish of each stage.
