It will probably be an erzeta again in the spirit of the past – it will be fast that the riders will often find themselves at the speed limit, but it will also be full of navigation traps. “We will go to places where no bivouac has ever stood before. There will be a lot of heavy dunes on the first hundred kilometers. The second part will offer a labyrinth full of paths, so it will definitely not be easy to get to the finish line,” warns competition director David Castera.

Martin Michek, who also had an accident on the way to the start on Friday, continues. “We put his bike completely together. All the filters changed, the exhaust changed, the navigation tower and other things changed completely. The boys worked on it all day,” said Ervín Krajčovič, the head of the MRG team that Michek rides.

Aleš Loprais, who is close to fifth in the truck category, remains the highest-ranked Czech in the overall standings. Martin Prokop is the ninth in the car class after South African de Villiers was lifted. Zdeněk Tůma is sixth among quad bike riders.

Will any of them move up on Sunday?
