He had had the courage to recount the sexual violence suffered in front of a camera but Daisy Coleman, protagonist of the documentary Audrie & Daisy, did not make it. She committed suicide. In touching Netflix film of 2016 she reported the abuse immediately and, together with her, there was another girl, Audrie Pott, another victim of violence who committed suicide in 2012, a few days after being raped.

The mother’s message
My daughter Catherine Daisy Coleman committed suicide tonight, wrote the girl’s mother on Facebook, She was my best friend and a fantastic daughter. I think he imagined that I could live without her. But I can not. I was hoping I’d taken on his pain! she never recovered from what those guys did to her and it is not fair. My little girl is gone.

The violence and bullies
As told in Audrie & Daisy, Daisy she had been raped at age 14 while at a party. No one was sentenced for the fact and the girl also suffered the ire of bullies and keyboard lions who continued to torture her online. Too much, for a girl who endured nine years before saying enough in the worst possible way.
