Daimler Truck AG’s regional center for the Middle East and North Africa has announced a long-term strategic partnership with global logistics company DHL Global Forwarding, represented by Danzas AEI Emirates Limited, a logistics service provider in the Emirates, a joint venture between DHL Global Forwarding and Al Tayer Group, as this company will handle the management and operations of the soon-to-open Daimler Truck Parts Center in Dubai.
This center is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to serve as a dedicated truck parts warehouse so that (DCV MENA) can provide high-level services to transportation leaders and all (Mercedes-Benz Trucks) customers in the Middle East, providing in a short time all the original spare parts.
Scheduled to begin operations within the center in December 2022, the center features a massive 5,000 square meter area divided floor to ceiling into different categories to maximize space utilization with elaborate layout, Very Narrow Aisles (VNA), aisles and selective shelves, open area for bulk operation and storage.
The center also contains closed rooms for the storage of dangerous goods and batteries for electric vehicles. The establishment of this center within “Dubai World Central” in Dubai South confirms the status of “Daimler Truck AG” as an independent organization, after the division of (Daimler AG) into (Mercedes-Benz AG) and (Daimler Truck AG) in December 2021.
Logistics center
DHL Global Forwarding will manage the operations of the Daimler Truck Parts Center in Dubai, with a supply chain and logistics team serving customer needs across the Middle East, taking over from the Mercedes-Benz Regional Logistics Center. AG) of Dubai. The new center will have 24 doors for unloading and packing light, medium and heavy duty transport trucks and a 15m high ceiling with a 13m storage space.
