Daily Schmankerl: Hansi Flick has no problem with Joshua Kimmich flipping out; Scottish youngster spurns Bayern Munich; Manchester United “not good enough” to get Erling Haaland; Lucas Vazquez to AC Milan?; & MORE!

Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich erupted at the squad’s coaches when Leon Goretzka was injured and not removed from the Bavarians’ 3-2 Champions League loss to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

Hansi Flick addressed the matter at his press conference and was unfazed to say the least.

“One time or another he also goes over the line verbally, like against Paris,” Flick said. “But that’s okay.”

Indeed it is.

Did a Scottish youngster pass over Bayern Munich in favor of a potential future with Celtic or Rangers? It sure sounds like it.

Scottish football website Not The Old Firm chatted with St. Mirren boss Jim Goodwin, who indicated that 16-year-old midfielder Dylan Reid passed up a chance to move to Bayern Munich:

The likes of Bayern Munich and Celtic have taken an interest in their youth work – and Jim Goodwin says it’s a credit to the academy at St Mirren.

16-year-old Dylan Reid has been tracked by Celtic and big clubs down south, while the youngster was also jetted off to Germany for a tour of Bayern Munich’s facilities prior to signing a new St Mirren deal until 2023.

The St Mirren boss explained: “There was loads of clubs interested in him. Dylan went over to Germany to see Bayern’s facilities and as you can imagine, both he and his family were blown away by the infrastructure on offer. But this wasn’t a financial decision for Dylan.

It does not look like Manchester United will be able to Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland – at least according to Jamie O’Hara:

Erling Haaland would appear to have no shortage of suitors this summer, but Manchester United are down the pecking order according to Jamie O’Hara. The former Spurs midfielder O’Hara believes Man Utd are ‘not good enough’ to attract the Borussia Dortmund forward.

“They can’t get Haaland – because they’re not good enough,” he told talkSPORT. “Why is he going go to Man United? Why? It’s alright needing him, but you’ve got Real Madrid, Barca, Man City. They need him. [United] paid £100m for Paul Pogba and he’s gone there thinking they’re gonna go to the next level. And it hasn’t worked and he’s been trophyless. Haaland’s not going to go to Manchester united and be thinking ‘We might win something, we might not, he’s going somewhere where he might win everything.”

Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho said the Spurs — as a club — are considering joining a social media boycott, but also stated that he thinks the companies operating the platforms need to make a stand against online abuse:

Jose Mourinho has said Tottenham are considering joining a social media boycott after Davinson Sanchez became the latest player to receive racist abuse. The 24-year-old posted a picture of discriminatory messages on Instagram following Sunday’s 2-2 draw at Newcastle with the words “nothing changes.”

Asked whether he had considered personally quitting social media, the 58-year-old said: “I didn’t think about it. I think the ones that can make an impact on this and resolve the problem are the media giants. I think everything is in their hands to end this sad situation because social media can be fun, it can bring people together, it can bring people from different continents to look like they are living in the same street.

“I have some fun, I try to be positive and that’s the way it should be. Unfortunately, it is not like that but I believe that [changing] things is not going to be with individuals. It is not even going to be with education because honestly my feeling is the new generations are not the problem.

“I think the new generations are much, much more in the world that we want without discrimination, without bullying, I think it is not a problem of education for younger ages. It is for the media giants to make a decision and to make their fight. If they want to win that fight, they win it for all of us.”

Former Bayern Munich hitman Mario Mandzukic is likely going to be looking for a new home once again this summer:

Yet to score his very first goal for AC Milan, former Croatian international striker Mario Mandzukic (34), according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, is very unlikely to score a year-long extension from Rossoneri management. Former Juventus and Bayern Munich hitman, unless succeeding in having the club change their mind, is going to be a free agent again, once current season’s over.

Lucas Vazquez has been linked heavily to Bayern Munich, but AC Milan and Manchester United are also in the mix for the Real Madrid star:

Milan have reportedly started talks to sign Lucas Vazquez as a free agent, but Inter, Bayern Munich and Manchester United are also in the race to sign the Real Madrid winger. According to Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri’s technical director Paolo Maldini has already contacted the player’s entourage, although the Spaniard’s priority remains to stay at Real Madrid. However, the 30-year-old hasn’t yet reached an agreement to extend his stay in the Spanish Capital.

Vazquez’s entourage has demanded a new four-year, €5m-a-year deal, but neither Real Madrid nor Milan are open to offering as much at the moment. The Serie A giants may put a €4m-a-year contract on the table, which is the higher salary they can offer to a player, except for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Gigio Donnarumma. According to the report, Milan are not the only club interested as Inter, Bayern Munich and Manchester United have also set their sights on the 30-year-old.

Man…this guy spent 14 hours under a canvas just waiting to show the world his birthday suit:
