1. Smoking

Smoking and using tobacco products risks developing 14 types of cancer including life-threatening cancers, such as head and neck, lung, bladder and pancreatic cancer. This causes 25% to 30% of cancer-related deaths.

Compared with mothers who don’t smoke, the risk of lung cancer is 23 times higher in male smokers and 17 times higher in female smokers.

2. Unhealthy eating patterns

4. Often eat grilled meat and vegetables

Research states that charred food contains pyrolysate and various amino acids that are harmful to the body. If you often eat burnt food, you are at risk of developing stomach and intestinal cancer.

“This compound in particular increases the risk of stomach and intestinal cancer,” said Dr. Medical.

5. Sunbathing for too long without sunscreen

Sunbathing for long periods without sunscreen paves the way for melanoma and other skin cancers. This causes uncontrolled cell division, located in the lower layer of the skin (dermis) and suppresses the body’s immunity because harmful ultraviolet rays damage DNA.

6. Sleep with your cellphone on the bed

The connection between cellphones which can be a source of electromagnetic radiation and cancer has been a public fear for a long time.

It has been suggested that radiofrequency radiation can trigger cancer by accelerating glucose metabolism in surrounding tissues or causing blood vessel dilation and thermal changes.

“It is recommended to avoid sleeping with a cell phone next to the bed, use earphones when talking on a cell phone, and avoid prolonged contact with a cell phone to prevent cancer,” explained Dr. Medical.

7. Often stay up late
