Daily Covid-19 Cases Are Still High, Government Still Allow Schools Face-to-Face All

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture ( Coordinating Minister for PMK) Muhadjir Effendy stated that the government has begun to make concessions for schools to start face to face learning.

This was done at a time when daily Covid-19 cases were still high in Indonesia.

“At a limited cabinet meeting on August 5, 2020, he gave directions to relax or relax in teaching and learning activities for students with a lot of considerations,” said Muhadjir through the Youtu channel of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud), Friday (7/8 / 2020).

“That’s why the President gave directions to start the teaching and learning process in schools with certain considerations,” he continued.

Muhadjir added that later technical decisions on the implementation of face-to-face learning activities in schools must be supported by careful consideration.

In addition, schools and local governments must respond quickly in the event of Covid-19 transmission in the school environment.

He also reminded that the face-to-face learning process in schools must also follow the zoning system established by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force.

Currently, areas that are allowed to hold face-to-face learning activities at schools are areas with the status of the green zone (no risk) and the yellow zone (low risk).

To note, corona virus transmission still occurs in the community until Friday (7/8/2020). This causes the number of Covid-19 cases to continue to grow.

These additions cause there are now 121,226 Covid-19 cases in the country, counting from the first case announced on March 2, 2020.

This information was conveyed by the Covid-19 Task Force through the Covid19.go.id website which was updated on Friday afternoon.
