In Japan, the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid is equipped with e-Smart Hybrid technology, which can run 100% with an electric motor. Because it uses a 1200 cc engine coded WA-VEX which was newly developed. The machine is not in charge of driving the wheels, but becomes a generator to supply electricity to the battery.
One of the advantages of the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid is fuel economy (BBM). With WLTC standards, the average fuel consumption of the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid reaches 28 km / liter. In fact, with the JC08 test method, the Rocky Hybrid can penetrate 34.8 km / liter.
Interestingly, the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid has a Smart Pedal (S-PDL) driving mode that allows comfortable acceleration and deceleration by simply pressing and releasing the gas pedal.
When the gas pedal is released, the car will decelerate more than the regular engine brake. With the S-PDL, the driver does not have to tirelessly shift his foot from the gas pedal to the brake pedal for frequent acceleration and deceleration, such as during traffic jams and on roads with many bends.
The Daihatsu Rocky has an outlet (AC100V/1500W) installed in the trunk compartment. Owners of this car can use electrical appliances with AC100V and maximum total power consumption of 1500W or less. It is also equipped with an emergency power supply system that turns the car into a generator when electric power is needed in an emergency such as a disaster.
In Japan, the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid is offered with several options, including the Rocky X HEV at a price of 2,116,000 yen (Rp 265.3 million) and the Premium G HEV at a price of 2,347,000 yen (Rp 294.2 million).
