Dagospia confirms the political defeat of Lotito and De Laurentiis

The two are in a clear minority in the Serie A League, and they try to make up for it by throwing Del Piero at Gravina’s feet

Napoli soccer team President Aurelio De Laurentiis (C) and Owner and President of Italian Serie A football club SS Lazio Rome and Italian entrepreneur Claudio Lotito arrive at the Duomo cathedral in Milan on June 14, 2023 for the state funeral of Italy’s former prime minister and media mogul Silvio Berlusconi.

Dagospia confirms the political defeat of Lotito and De Laurentiis. In fact, it seems that Casini, president of Serie A Leagueis about to leave the scene and has no intention of running again. Among the possible successors are the former number one of Confindustria Bonomi, Berlusconi’s former accountant Simonelli and Gandini, manager of the Basketball League. In other words, the duo Lotito and De Laurentiis are in a clear minority in the League. Hence the attempt to propose Del Piero to Figc and undermine Gravina.

Lotito and De Laurentiis is in a clear minority in the League. Hence the attempt to propose Del Piero to the FIGC

Dagospia writes:

The weather is bad for Lotito (and De Laurentis) in the Serie A League. Their candidate, the outgoing president Casini, will not be re-elected and is considering announcing his exit shortly to avoid a public defeat. As far as we know, tomorrow the representatives of 14 companies (you need at least 11 votes to elect the President) will meet to agree on a line. There are two candidates (maybe three) on the table. One is the former president of Confindustria, Carlo Bonomi, brought by Marotta; another is Ezio Mario Simonelli, Berlusconi’s former Fininvest accountant brought in by Galliani, to which is added “an executive of the Basketball League” (Umberto Gandini) brought in by Roma.

It is difficult to find an agreement (the “strongest” candidate, Bonomi is considered too much in Inter mode) and it is possible that a new and different name will be sought. In any case, the Lotito/De Laurentis duo, who have dictated the law in the last two years, are currently out of the loop. Hence the attempt to make up for it by trying to attack their historic enemy Gravina at home by launching Alex Del Piero’s candidacy for president of the FIGC against him“.
