Daedalic Entertainment Closes Development Division and Shifts Focus, Citing Disappointing Lord of the Rings: Gollum Performance

I’m far from the only one who thinks The Lord of the Rings: Gollum clearly has no chance in today’s market, but it’s never fun to see developers apologize for the state of their games. Business failures are even worse, and we got an example of that today.

A Daedalic representative has now confirmed this in an email to me, noting that part of the reason is that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has failed to live up to the company’s expectations.
