Daddy Yankee changes sides. Stop looking for him in worldly affairs. This now ex-reggaeton artist has become a new creature. Better to say, ram of the Almighty. At least that’s what Daddy said during a concert in Puerto Rico, his native country.
“I realized one thing that the Bible says _And of what profit is it for a man to gain the world if he loses his soul?_ So tonight I recognize and I am without shame to tell the whole world that Jesus lives in me and that I will live for him.”
The undisputed king of reggaeton publicly bid farewell to “the world”, officially. However, in 2022, he had already informed the public that his twelfth album, “Legendaddy” was the youngest of his career. It was therefore a harbinger of this final point.
Daddy Yankee, originally from Puerto Rico, is a reggaeton star. Aged 46, he has enjoyed immeasurable success and has had many crazy hit tracks including “Despacito”, the second most viewed video in Youtube history with around 9 billion views.
