Initially, Dadan admitted that he was asked for money by KPK ‘individuals’ so that he would not become a suspect. It is known that Dadan is a defendant in a bribery case at the Supreme Court (MA).
“When I was still a witness, I was asked for money by an irresponsible person with a fantastic value, namely USD 6 million, if I wanted my case not to escalate or me not to be a suspect,” said Dadan when reading out his plea at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Tuesday (20/2/2024).
Dadan feel wronged by this case. He felt he was innocent.
“Your Honor’s Panel of Judges, I don’t intend to give a complicated explanation regarding everything at trial, but this is an incident that I really experienced and there are true facts to prove my innocence,” he said.
He also spoke about the bag he handed over to Hasbi Hasan, who at that time was Secretary to the Supreme Court. He admitted that the bag was not actually handed over to Hasbi Hasan, but to a woman.
“At the time of questioning the suspect in the BAP, I had not yet told him whether the bag I handed over to Brother Hasbi Hasan was actually real, and in fact I handed it over to my female friend. I was worried that if I was honest in the BAP, it would damage my household,” he said. .

In his plea, Dadan asked the judge to free him from all the charges and demands of the KPK prosecutor. Apart from that, he asked the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to annul the blocking of his account.
It is known that Dadan Tri Yudianto was sentenced to 11 years and 5 months in prison, a fine of IDR 1 billion and compensation of IDR 7.9 billion. Prosecutors believe that Dadan has been proven to have received a bribe of Rp. 11.2 billion in connection with processing a case at the Supreme Court with Hasbi Hasan.
The KPK prosecutor believes that Dadan Tri Yudianto violated Article 12 letter a in conjunction with Article 18 of the Law on the Eradication of Corruption Crimes in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
