The Pope said that Blessed Artemis Tsati was a man of the community who knew how to work together with others.
On Saturday (10/08/22), Pope Francis addressed a group of about a thousand Salesian associates and pilgrims who had come to participate in the canonization ceremony of the Salesian saint Br. Artemide Tsati on Sunday (22/09/22) at the Vatican.
The Pope said that his tireless work for the poor and his willingness to do so were inspired by his deep union with the Lord through constant prayer, long devotions to Divine Mercy and the recitation of the rosary. The Pope said that Artemis, who knew how to work with nuns, doctors and nurses, with his example and his advice has shaped individuals, shaped consciences and transformed hearts.
Referring to his life, born in Italy but immigrated to Argentina, the Pope underlined the four elements of that life: immigrant, relative of all the poor, Salesian collaborator, intercessor of God’s call, the Pope highlighted the four characteristics that are they are distinct in his life. Referring to the unfortunate situation in which most immigrants lose their faith because they are absorbed by work and the problems they face, the Pope explained that Artemis Tsati, who was an immigrant, distinguished himself from it and progressed in the Christian life.
