JATO Dynamics has collected data on the European new car market in October.
In Europe, 1,040,390 new cars were sold in October 2024, which is only about 0.1% less than in October 2023 and 79,000 units less than in September 2024.
For the whole of 2024, 10,796,414 cars were sold, which is an increase of 1.1 percent compared to the first ten months of 2023.
In the individual assessment, Dacia Sandero takes the laurels in October with 21,740 registrations, followed by Peugeot 208 with 20,389 units and Volkswagen Tiguan with 17,368 copies.
Behind the top three are Renault Clio (16,987), Toyota Yaris Cross (16,542) and Volkswagen Golf (16,455), ahead of Toyota Yaris (15,977), Kia Sportage (15,677) and Volkswagen T-Roc, but the first ten Škoda Octavia with 14,372 deliveries.
It is interesting that the first electric car on the list of the most bought cars in Europe – Škoda Enyaq – is only in 21st place, while Tesla Model Y has lost 18% in the last month and fell out of the TOP-25 list with 8795 registrations.
