Dacia offers a new dream of Czech families. The seven-seater gas Jogger doesn’t cost even 400,000

The Dacia Jogger is one of the most anticipated new cars of the coming weeks. The seven-seater station wagon replaces several models of the Romanian carmaker at once, and in the spirit of the tradition begun by the first Logan MCV, it combines a large interior space with an attractive price. The basic Jogger will cost 358,500 crowns, and even with seven seats, the car will get below 400,000.

The Dacia Jogger is the successor not only to the Logan MCV, but also to the large Dokker and Lodgy models. These were extremely popular on the Czech market, so logically the Czech representation of the brand promises a lot from the new model. “All over Europe, Dacia means the Sandero and Duster models, but Dokker and Lodgy, of which Jogger is the successor, were also popular in the Czech Republic. That is why we are very much looking forward to it,” says Zdeněk Grunt, head of Renault and Dacia.

The mentioned cars are followed by a novelty not only of purposeful exterior design, but also of interior space. Although it shares the CMF-B platform with the new Sander or Logan, but with a unique rear section, the Jogger has 2897 mm between the axles. At the same time, with a total length of 4547 mm, it significantly outperforms similarly large rivals from the compact segment.

Dimensions

Length 4547 mm
Width 1784 mm
Height 1632 mm
Wheelbase 2897 mm
light height 200 mm
Suitcase (5 seats) 708/1819 l
Suitcase (7 places) 160/565/1819 l

As we were able to see at the autumn Munich Motor Show, the millimeters between the axles are familiar inside. Even in the third row, which is offered at an additional cost, there is relatively plenty of space. A separate chapter then consists of a luggage compartment with a volume of 708 to 1819 liters. In the seven-seater arrangement, a decent 160 liters remain available.

There will initially be two engines under the hood, based on the well-known supercharged 74 kW three-cylinder engine adapted for LPG propulsion. With a 40-liter gas tank, this version can travel up to 1,300 kilometers in one refueling mode. An alternative to this is a purely petrol supercharged liter three-cylinder with an output of 81 kW. Both units have a six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive as standard. In 2023, a hybrid model will be available, but it is still a long way off.
