Dacia launches its first hybrid model on the market at the beginning of 2023

The company has NOT disclosed the price of the version.

Made in Romania, in the Mioveni plant, Jogger is the first Dacia model equipped with hybrid technology, thus contributing to the electrification of the range.

With the release of this version, a new shade, “Grey Schiste”, joins the already available color palette.

The powertrain is made up of a 90hp 4-cylinder 1.6l petrol engine, two electric motors (a 50hp motor and a starter motor/high voltage generator) and an electrified automatic gearbox, with 4 stages dedicated to the thermal block and another two, to the electric one. This combined technology is possible due to the absence of a clutch.

The regenerative braking, the high energy recovery capacity, characteristic of the 1.2 kWh (230V) batteries, to which is added the efficiency of the automatic gearbox, offers:

⦁ Ability to run around town in 100% electric mode up to 80% of the time.

⦁ Reduction of consumption up to 40% (compared to an equivalent internal combustion engine in the urban cycle, without changing the driving style).

The 100% electric traction when starting and the automatic gearbox give the Jogger model a high level of comfort in use. The battery is charged while driving during braking and deceleration phases. The autonomy of the Jogger HYBRID 140 version is over 900 km (in a WLTP approved mixed cycle). The traction battery has an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty.

In operating mode “B” (“Brake”), the automatic gearbox with which the Jogger HYBRID 140 is equipped makes it possible to amplify regenerative braking and increase engine braking efficiency. This mode ensures a higher level of energy recovery and greater driving comfort in urban traffic.

The dashboard display specific to the HYBRID 140 version integrates a series of essential information such as the charge level of the traction battery, the remaining range or energy transfer. For added comfort, the Jogger HYBRID 140 features an electric parking brake as standard and a high center console with closed storage compartment and armrest.

Almost a year after its commercial launch, in March 2022, Dacia Jogger registers 83,000 orders and over 51,000 registrations worldwide.

Of the total sales, 2/3 are represented by the mixed petrol-LPG engine (ECO-G 100) and 2/3 of sales are also represented by the most equipped version in the range. At the same time, 55% of Jogger customers chose the 7-seater version.
