Dacia entered the Top 3 in sales to private customers in Europe

The Romanian brand Dacia is growing by 3% in 2021, with sales reaching 537,095 units in a market marked by the pandemic and electronic components crisis. The market share of the brand in Europe increased by 0.1 points, to 3.5%.

In terms of sales to private customers, Dacia reached a record market share of 6.2% last year and entered the top three in Europe for the first time, writes auto-press.net.

This result is due to the successful new generations of Sandero (over 226,000 units sold) and Duster (more than 186,000 units). Sandero remains the best-selling model to private customers in Europe, as every year since 2017, and Duster is the best-selling SUV to private customers in Europe since 2018.

In some countries, the Sandero is also the best-selling car in all customer channels, making it the second best-selling car in Europe.

With sales launched in March last year, the Spring model (27,876 units sold) is already the market leader in electric cars. In just nine months, the model’s orders reached 46,000 units.

Dacia’s attractiveness is recognized by both new and loyal customers with sales growth among both groups. This trend will continue in 2022 with the expansion of the product range and the launch of the new Jogger.

Dacia is a leader in sales to private customers in France and Romania and in the top 5 in 9 other European markets (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Croatia). In Germany, the brand enters the top 10, and in Morocco retains its leadership.
