The year 2021 is extremely important for the Dacia brand. Sales of the new generations of the Sandero hatchback and the Logan sedan have been fully launched, she introduced herself an upgraded version of the popular Duster and sales of the brand’s first electric car, the tiny Spring crossover, began. But that’s not all, Dacia is preparing another novelty for this year.
Dacia has confirmed that it is preparing to unveil a “brand new, very versatile family car for seven people.” Its debut has been speculated for several months, thanks to captured prototypes of this car, but only now has Dacia officially admitted preparations for this car.

The novelty is talked about as an indirect successor to two models, the Logan MCV station wagon and the MPV Lodgy. It is supposed to be a crossover connecting different worlds, the interior of the Lodga, the practicality of the Logan MCV and the look of the SUV. In a way, it will be a revival of the original Logan MCV, which in the first generation also offered a seven-seater design, but the novelty is to offer a rougher appearance.
Dacia has not yet announced the name of the new car. However, it is offered to keep the name Logan MCV or Lodgy, as well as to use the new designation. However, the parent Renault has not recently registered any designation that could designate the name of the novelty. The recently registered names Spacenomad or Bigster have already been used, EstafettE is more suitable for Renault, for a possible electrical revival of its famous van.
In terms of technology, the use of Duster engines is offered, such as 1.0 TCe (67 kW), 1.0 TCe LPG (74 kW), 1.3 TCe (110 kW) or 1.5 Blue dCi (70 and 85 kW). However, the deployment of the mildhybrid version is not ruled out, due to the reduction of fleet emissions. After all, because of them, Dacia is promoting LPG propulsion today and is starting to sell the Spring electric car.
In any case, the new Dacia family for seven will be shown to the world in the autumn, in September Munich Motor Show, which alternates with the current Frankfurt Motor Show. Dacia for IAA 2021 is preparing an original stand at the main course to the Munich Exhibition Center and a presentation of all its latest models right in the center of the Bavarian capital, where it will be possible to be imported by the Spring model, presented as the most affordable electric car in Europe.
