On the evening of Thursday, October 8, TV3 ended the series of the show “Almost Perfect Dinner”, in which popular people demonstrate their cooking and hospitality skills. This week’s closing dinner was prepared by illusionist Dace Pecolli, and she had decided not to surprise her guests with food.
In this series of shows, a colorful company visited each other – Aigars Kļavs, the winner of “Lauku sētas”, Mārtiņš Kapzems, event manager, Aija Selga-Brikmane, director of TV3’s new show “Operation: New Life”, and magician Dace Pecolli.
Dace proved to be the quartet’s sharpest scorer, and on the fourth night, both guests and TV viewers witnessed her own role as a housewife.
From the beginning, Dace made no secret of the fact that, the roses that adorned the festive table, she “borrowed” from the neighbor’s garden: “I climbed over to the neighbor’s yard yesterday because he was not at home.”
As former policeman Aigars put it, such “borrowing” is, if not theft, then definitely petty hooliganism. “A fine of up to 500 euros,” Aigars revealed how much it would cost Dace to take care of the holiday table.
The illusionist also admitted that she preferred to visit others rather than cook for herself, because she is not a great cook.
However, Dace had thought about making her visit unforgettable.
“This is no ordinary evening, this is a magical evening,” the housewife warned the guests and invited them to drink drinks that promised to disinfect the inside.
During the evening, there was no shortage of surprises – first the housewife introduced her new pet to her pet – a bat named Pupukis, who left the guests with their mouths open, and soon a body cleansing ritual followed.
Finally, the first real dish was present. However, before having a snack, Dace brought a “bat blood drink” to the table as an aperitif, which was served with “witch brooms” and made the guests blindfolded.
“I didn’t promise you food, I promised you Italian feelings,” the housewife said of the “surprise” that was served on the rhubarb leaves.
The main course was steamed salmon with vegetables, which turned out to be overcooked. But for Aigars, who does not eat fish, the illusionist kindly told him the recipe, according to which he would have prepared chicken for him, if he had remembered to buy it in the store.
“Poor Aigariņš – he missed a chicken with sage leaves, but I will give him sage leaves,” Dace exclaimed.
The evening continued with various tricks, in which the trio was also involved, and a dessert, in the preparation of which Aija, Mārtiņš and Aigars also put their hands, who finally felt eaten.
“I think I got to surprise them, and the variety of surprises seemed to me big enough. It was interesting for me, I hope it was interesting for my guests as well, ”the housewife summed up the evening.
Mārtiņš rated the visit to Dace with 10 points, Aija – with nine, but Aigars – with eight points, and Dace received a total of 26 points. Thus, the winner of the week was Aija, who had evaluated her visit with 28 points.
