Czechs are changing their minds, almost half want to be vaccinated against covid

Currently, the willingness to voluntarily vaccinate is highest in Slovakia, followed by the Czechia and Poland. On the contrary, there is less willingness among respondents in Hungary and least in Bulgaria.

In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, people aged 55 and over, as well as people with higher education, are significantly more willing to get vaccinated. Across all countries, slightly more men than women are more likely to be vaccinated against covid-19.

Attitudes towards covid-19 vaccination have been monitored by National Pandemic Alarm reconnaissance agencies in the last three waves, in October, November and December. The results were almost the same and people’s attitudes did not change. About a third of the population was always in favor of vaccination and almost 50 percent were against.

But that has changed recently. In the new year, Czechs are more willing to be vaccinated. 46 percent would now be vaccinated, while a third would not be vaccinated. About 18 percent of people said they had not yet made up their minds.

“The willingness to vaccinate is highest among respondents over 55 years of age, there it reaches up to 62 percent. On the contrary, the lowest, 30 percent, is in the age group 25-34 years. in the survey.

Respondents who would be vaccinated against covid-19 as soon as possible would prefer vaccination with a general practitioner (56%). Significantly fewer people who would be vaccinated when it was their turn would prefer a vaccination center (11%) or a hospital (3%). Almost a third of people do not come to the place of vaccination (30%).

According to the WHO, the world is on the verge of failure in terms of vaccine distribution. Watch the Nova TV report:
