Jakub Železný heard the tough decision. After the successful presenter took a break from his duties for a few months, he wanted to return to Czech Television. But an unpleasant surprise awaited him there, as the Blesk newspaper writes. At the Kavče Horá, he was told that he was out of luck and that all positions were currently filled.
Jakub Železný was planning a big comeback on TV screens. After first leaving Události and comments last year, he subsequently withdrew from the ČT Události program and took a break due to health complications. Now the presenter wanted to go back, but they gave him some unpleasant news at the Kavče Horá. As he writes Blesk newspaperthey don’t count on him and all positions are currently filled.
“He was in a meeting with news management, but he was told that all on-camera positions are filled at this time. Both in Events and in Events, Commentary,” a source from the nearby area told the previously mentioned newspaper. They did offer him a job, but off camera. “They have offered him a position off camera for now, perhaps he could be the dramaturg of the Black Sheep show. He didn’t look at it, I think he expected something more” says the source.
It must have been a blow for the moderator
It was probably a big blow to the moderator and a line over the budget that he didn’t count on. “In my opinion, he perceives it in the way that CT is humiliating him. But that’s not the case, you can’t just come after four months and want what he had before…” supplies the resource. According to Czech Television, Jakub is still an employee and is working on new projects.
However, Železný himself hopes that his return to the screens will take place in the near future. “I still have a not-so-pleasant thing waiting for me in Motola in March, which I hope will turn out well. Then we will talk about how I will come back. I believe that Czech Television will perhaps think that Železný would be on that screen again some time may have been” stated Jakub in his podcast Media circus.
