Several stars mourn the death of stylist and designer Jan Pokorné, who committed suicide last week. The funeral began on Wednesday at 13:00 at the Skranice crematorium in Prague.
Last week, on Friday, Czech celebrities were struck by the sad news of the tragic death of the famous fashion designer Jan Pokorné. He committed suicide by jumping out the window on Thursday night. His funeral began at 1pm on Wednesday at the Scarecrow’s crematorium.
The survivors sat silently on the pews and said goodbye to the deceased while listening to his favorite songs. Among them, for example, the song Mad World by Gary Jules was heard. On the last track, We Are The World, the curtain slowly started to fall. Mourners rose en masse in respect.
Next to the coffin was a photo of the deceased Pokorný. The mourners placed wreaths and pugetti around her. Lady Gaga’s moving song The Edge of Glory was played over the loudspeaker during the wreath-laying. Actress Jitka Čvančarová was obviously devastated and couldn’t hold back the tears.
Pokorný’s colleagues and representatives from among the stars were among the first to come to the ceremony. Among them the model Veronika Hejlíková, the actress Jitka Čvančarová, Jitka Schneiderová and the model Simona Krainová. “He was my first love. We often drove after each other,” recalled his former friend Pokorný.
Many Czech and Slovak celebrities mourn the famous fashion designer and stylist. Singer Dara Rollins has mourned the death of her friend social networks. “Honzík dressed us for an ad campaign for my perfume Lola…”, writes a heartbroken Dara.
Model Iva Kubelková also joined the mourning. She alone instagram she posted a picture of them together saying, “I don’t want to believe this. Rest in peace Honorable. I’m so sorry. RIP”
