Company JetBrains, which originates in Russia but is headquartered in the Czech Republic, earned a record 8.9 billion crowns last year. The popular development company is successfully growing, the year before it was sales at 7.7 billion and before it reached 6.1 billion crowns.
JetBrains are a very profitable business. Last year’s profit after tax was 3.9 billion crowns, years before 3.4 and 2.3 billion.
At the same time, as a company run in the Czech Republic, JetBrains regularly pays high income taxes. Last year, this amount was almost 926 million crowns. Among other things, the company has never raised external capital and is developing from its own resources.
JetBrains have a development in Russia and from the beginning there are management in the Czech Republic, where, for example, intellectual property is anchored.
“There are no clear rules in Russia. A safer environment was sought for the company’s headquarters. Prague was then and is still today, ” summarized earlier for Lupa reasons for this anchoring Maxim Shafirov, CEO of JetBrains.
In addition to parts of the development, the headquarters in Prague mainly deals with corporate matters. That is why the number of employees was not high last year, there were 81. The year before, there were 69 people. In total, JetBrains has around 1,500 employees.
