Czech Republic to Purchase 200 Thousand Additional Artillery Ammunition for Ukrainian Armed Forces

The Czech Republic can organize the purchase of another 200 thousand artillery ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in addition to the previously promised 300 thousand units.

This was stated by Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala, report “Czech news”. According to him, the purchase of an additional 200 thousand artillery shells may occur optionally.

“I consider this a great success. This is further proof that the Czech Republic is a fully active player in European security policy,” he said.

Fiala noted that today 18 countries have joined the initiative to purchase ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in countries outside the EU.

Czech President Petr Pavel announced 800 thousand artillery ammunition that can be bought for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but this requires money.

The Czech plan has already been supported by Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Denmark, Canada and France.

And on March 7, it became known that Norway allocated $153 million for the Czech Republic’s initiative to purchase artillery ammunition for Ukraine in third countries.
