Zlín (Czech Republic) – These lifesavers lost their patience after a man had massively hindered their efforts. After this horrific case of recklessness, they gave free rein to their frustration on social networks.
In August, the paramedic team was dispatched to Hvozdná, a small community (1,312 inhabitants) near Zlín in the Czech Republic, to help a woman (78) suffering from heart failure.
Neighbor also blocks the operation
“At the moment when the rescuers were literally fighting for their lives in the house, the ambulance was blocked by the owner of the driveway,” the rescue service writes on its Facebook page.
The pensioner insisted that it was his property and that the paramedics had no business being there. Due to the neighbor’s lack of insight, the ambulance driver could not reach the patient with a stretcher.

Paramedics are right
According to the Emergency services The team lost about five minutes due to the argument and the blockade. They could have already been on their way to the hospital – they referred to their right to enter other people’s property to provide emergency care.
“We regret that such situations arise at all. After all, none of us ever knows when we will need the help of an emergency service,” the emergency service continued.
Police investigating the incident
Reporter of the Czech tabloid “Flash” interviewed the partner of the Rentners about the incident. She said that he was angry because his neighbors did not clear their driveway themselves to make room for the ambulance.
At the same time, however, she admitted that the form of the protest was inappropriate. “It was a stupid impulse,” she added. The police are now also investigating the media coverage.
