The Minister of Health of the Czech Republic, Roman Prymula, visited the restaurant on Thursday evening (October 22), the website of the Blesk daily informed on Friday. When he left the restaurant that should be closed, he didn’t have the obligatory face mask.

According to “Blesku”, Prymula came to a luxurious restaurant before 22 and left half an hour before midnight. The meeting was to be attended by the head of the parliamentary club of the ANO movement of Prime Minister Andrej Babisz, Roman Faltynek, who apologized for his behavior on Czech television. He was to talk to Prymula about medical missions.
Due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus, restaurants must close from October 14. Prymula himself repeatedly called on people to abide by the restrictions.
Representatives of opposition parties called on Prymula to resign. The same reaction was made by Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister Jan Hamaczek, who is the head of the Czech Social Democratic Party (CZSSD), the smaller of the two parties in the ruling coalition.
“Ignoring wearing a mask is a mockery of the citizens of our republic, it is an unequivocal and unjustifiable defeat. It is impossible for the ruling coalition to be represented by people who do not comply with the government regulations” – wrote Hamaczek in a statement for the CTK agency.
Prymula, called by the media “the face of the fight against the coronavirus”, is an epidemiologist, former military doctor and hospital director in Hradec Kralove. He was the deputy minister of health, he resigned from the function and took up a new position specially prepared for him, the head of the government council for medical research and innovation. September 21 this year became the minister of health.
