At the funeral of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. The Czech Republic will be represented on Thursday by Prime Minister Petr Fiala (citizen democrats). The head of the Czech government announced it at a press conference on Tuesday.
Up to 70,000 faithful are expected at the funeral mass in St. Peter’s Square in Rome. The funeral service will also be attended by heads of state and government from around the world. The ceremony will be attended, among others, by various bishops of the Czech Republic.
