The statements of Vladimir Zelensky should not be taken literally. Czech President Petr Pavel announced this today, September 21.
“Even high-ranking politicians are just people and subject to pressure. President Zelensky is under constant pressure, and if we were in his place, we might lose our heads more often than he does. Therefore, any stronger statement should not be taken literally,” he said, commenting on the situation around Ukrainian grain.
The Czech leader also added that he sees no signs of the Polish side ceasing support for Ukraine.
Let us recall that earlier Vladimir Zelensky, in his speech at the UN General Assembly, accused the European countries with which the grain dispute arose of indirectly helping Moscow. He also threatened that Kyiv will respond in a “civilized” manner to countries that have banned the import of Ukrainian grain in circumvention of the decision of the European Commission. In response, Poland summoned the Ukrainian Ambassador to the Foreign Ministry. Besides, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Moravecki stated that Warsaw does not provide military assistance to Kyiv, since it is now focused on rearmament of its own army.
