Czech President Petr Pavel accidentally knocked the cap off the head of a serviceman during the celebration of the Day of the Origin of Czechoslovakia, reports RT. The head of state could not hold the flag handed to him and lowered its top onto the military man’s head, causing his headdress to fall.
Later, the Czech President apologized to the victim for his awkwardness. According to Pavel, he did not expect the banner to be so heavy. “I feel the need, at least in this way, to apologize for physical or psychological harm to a member of the Castle Guard,” the Czech President wrote on the social network X (blocked in the Russian Federation).
