Czech hockey organized three seminars for the head coaches of the Sports Centers

Czech hockey has been organizing seminars for coaches for a long time, which serve to educate them at several levels. There were three events this week, primarily for the head coaches of the Sports Centers.

As part of supporting clubs in the field of training young players under the age of 14, Czech hockey decided to establish so-called Sports Centers (SpS). These centers aim to help clubs with the development and education of their players so that these young promising athletes can further develop and achieve better results on the ice. It was on this occasion that seminars were held, which could also be attended by other coaches of youth categories, for coaches from all over the country.

This time, the coaches met in three places. First, on Tuesday in Brno, which was mainly attended by representatives from Moravia. Another day at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports of Charles University in Prague and the last date was Thursday 19 September in Chomutov.

The seminars were divided into two parts. The first of them related to the effectiveness of passing on information in training, under the leadership of football coach David Vavruška. The second was about promoting the club and recruiting new players. The role of lecturer was taken by Oldřich Kališ.

Despite the unpleasant circumstances of last weekend, there was a large turnout. A total of 240 coaches participated in all three seminars and almost all clubs in the Czech Republic were represented. Unfortunately, due to the floods that affected some regions of the Czech Republic, some coaches had to apologize, which the organizers of course understood and accepted. The seminar primarily concerned ČSLH paid coaches, but several youth coaches were also present. The feedback from all participants was positive and there were also substantive discussions.
