Czech Football Player Ondřej Čelůstka Joins Bodrumspor in Turkey’s Second League

Former international Ondřej Čelůstka will play for Bodrumspor in the second Turkish league after leaving Sparta Prague. The club announced today on its Twitter account that it has signed a one-year contract with the 34-year-old Czech stopper.

Last season, Bodrumspor finished fourth in the second league and then lost in the playoff final for participation in the top competition.

Čelůstka has already worked in Turkey, playing for Trabzonspor from 2011 to 2014 and for Antalyaspor from 2015-20. Then he returned to the Czech league and spent the last three years in Sparta, where his contract expired. Due to health problems, he played only 48 competitive matches for the Leten team and scored two goals. The Zlín schoolboy has also been involved in Slavia Prague, Palermo, Sunderland and Nuremberg.

He played 33 matches for the Čelůstek national team between 2013 and 2021 and scored three goals.
